“I want you to go home happy, fed, and full – with joy and the experience”
In 2010, seasoned restauranteur Treva Gamberetti returned home to Oregon from British Columbia. The restaurant business had always been in her blood, and upon her homecoming, she bought the original Gamberetti’s location on Fairground Road. Parking and location challenges prompted her to relocate to Pringle Park Plaza, which grew her business significantly.
In 2021, Treva purchased a pizza place in Aumsville, the Pizza Peddler, and renamed it G3. The Pizza Peddler had been in the same family for 3 generations, and the founder’s grandson wanted the next owner to be someone committed to ensuring that it would thrive. That person was Treva. The family handed her their grandmother’s recipes, and the place absolutely flourished.
After its owner passed away in 2023, the Markum Inn became available for purchase. The only condition: the widow wanted someone who would continue to fulfill his legacy. Again, that person was Treva. The team has made one change – expanded days and hours. The Inn is a destination, and this move is designed to continue to build credibility with our local customers. “We are going to be there.” They continue to work closely with local farmers.
Her first location, Gambretti’s, relocated again in 2025, coming to reside inside the Holman Hotel (a Hilton partner) in downtown Salem. That opened a new opportunity to handle all Holman business from her onsite location. It has proven to be a wonderful fit for both the Holman and Gambretti’s. They have grown their local customer base more than anticipated – monthly diners have become weekly diners.
She also caters for between 10 and 300 people. In building a menu for each client, they draw on their three styles of restaurants to create diverse options – pizza, Italian, steak, and smoked meats.
When running her restaurants, Treva takes a “family first” approach, building bonds with every single staff member. She loves to eat and drink for a living. A self-described “foodie,” she finds her creativity in the kitchen, and she encourages her staff to be creative as well. Above all, she wants you to have a great experience. She will always handle a complaint but loves even more to hear a great story.
