Why are we doing this?
Santiam Hospital & Clinics Women’s Center wants to ensure that women in our community have access to the highest quality care in a comfortable and modern environment. The center seeks to provide care during all stages of a woman’s life – puberty to childbearing years to menopause. In 2024, the Santiam Women’s Center has completed nearly 4,600 visits. Since the establishment of Santiam Hospital in 1953, there have been over 9,578 births with 173 being in 2024! The updated facility will allow us to offer comprehensive services and ability to accommodate more patients, reducing wait times and improving overall patient experience. By investing in this project, we are prioritizing the health and well-being of women, ensuring they receive the best possible care close to home.
What is getting done?
The update will add treatment rooms for each provider as well as additional services to be done on site such as ultrasound. This ensures that our patients are able to receive the highest quality care possible within our center. It will also include a new waiting room that increase sight lines and offers an improved work flow for our staff as well as safety and security. The Santiam Women’s Center will boast modern finishes with a bright and airy feel.
Where are we?
The Campaign is still in the beginning phases of development. Santiam Hospital & Clinics has been meeting with architects to plan the project. This includes obtaining permitting, creating a budget and designing the space.
